While at school I got really into rap music, and so when it came to the school concert in the last
few weeks before I was finishing I decided to give it a go (May '91). I wrote a rap in Irish in 3
days and performed it in front of the whole school. And it worked.

At the same time I was buying a load of records, so that when a guy I know came to me asking could I check out a set of decks for him I said 'Sure!'. So he left me a set of decks Sept '93, but never came back for them!
I started off DJing in January of '94 for student events. When things got more hectic for François in the UFO, he left the UCD Bar (this is where UFO started), and that position was left to me, which I continued to do until December '96. In the years '94 to '97, I DJed at all the major events (and all the major names) for the UCD Student's Union.
September '95 until Jan '96, I was a resident with Johnny Moy in Club USI (Thursday) and also on Saturday. The Thursday nights weren't going so well, so that ended in Jan. I stayed on doing Saturdays until June (called The Laboratory), but stopped due to college exams, but did not resume.
I did a few gigs in the UFO with François, in the POD for some UCD events, and in the System for Trinity Colllege, and once in the DCU Bar.
So I gave up DJing to get my degree. Got my degree (after having to repeat my finals - and that was really crap). Then started a job, but I had to pay off a load of loans before I could buy any new equipment. So eventually last year I managed to buy a load of studio gear and the setup is almost complete.
On April 4th I did my first live PA, and I have done 2 other gigs since.
